Comments

Comments come in many forms.  There are opinions, questions, suggestions, and even the occasional compliment.  Whatever you want to say, your comments are important to the Town Hall and Library project.

Remember we are all neighbors, so you should feel comfortable using your full name.  But if you are a bit shy, you can use your first name only.  You can also choose to use a pseudonym or to make an anonymous comment.

No matter how strong your opinions, remember that you are addressing your neighbors and keep it civil.  All comments are moderated, and while all points of view will be published, nasty and abusive posts will be deleted or edited.  The moderator will make note of anything that has been censored within the comment post.

How to Make a Comment
First go to the blog page at www.lymetowncampus.blogspot.com.  Then find the post you wish to comment on.  Go to the bottom of the post and click on the word comments which is in red at the bottom of the post.  If you receive email copies of the blog, you must go to the web page.  You cannot comment through the email version.

When you click on comments, a box will open for you to enter your text.  When you are finished, move to the line just below the comment box and use the drop-down menu to select a profile.  If you wish to use a name, or pseudonym, select  Name/URL.  You do not need to have a URL.  Just leave that blank.  You cannot publish a comment without completing a profile.

If you are satisfied with the comment, click on Publish.  Then go to the top of the page and select Home to return to the blog.

Comments are moderated, so an email notification will be sent to the moderator who must approve it before it will appear on the blog.  Comments are moderated to catch any abusive posts - which has never happened, and to remove spam comments - there have been a few.  There may be a short delay, but most comments will be posted the same day.

If you have a problem posting a comment  or have questions, email the moderator at lymetowncampus@gmail.com.

  1. I think that it is telling that the three previous commentors where members of the library board and,not suprisingly, they where in favor of the expansion.I will go there this evening, Thursday night, and I will eat my hat if there is anyone in there besides myself and the four volunteers and paid staff having a detailed eliptical conversation with themselves.Again, this is another display of covetnous by the Lyme town officials whom through their cynical efforts to drive the poor and child-bearing age people from the town of Lyme now spend their days approving impossibly grandious mega-mansions and after awhile the Town fathers want something like that for themselves. And they salve this greed induced notion with the sap that "their doing something for the town" overlooking, of course, that their zoning regulations and thin pretext of buying up all available land "for the Presevation of the Scenic Eight Mile River" has created a demographic desert inhabited inreasingly with multi-millionaires and wealthy retired people. And guess what, those people don't go to the library.I will be voting "no" on this ego-puffing bit of willful duplicity of those at the town hall and invite anyone whom cares to that might join me this evening{Thursday night, open till 8PM} to enjoy the empty aisles of the library stacks, the un-attrended computers, the empty community room tables, ect.

  2. I object to the remarks that the town officials are "covetous," "cynical," "ego-puffing," and duplicitous. These are very disrespectful remarks about elected officials who have held office for a long time and in my experience are doing a first-rate job.
